Suicide is the third leading cause of death among our nation’s teenagers. Every year, approximately one out of every 15 high school students reports attempting suicide. (CDC, 2010)
Between 2007 and 2015, the number of children and teenagers in the U.S. who visited hospitals with suicidal ideation and attempts doubled (Brett, 2019)
